When God Speaks In Whispers

Sometimes I steal away to a quiet place and seek my Heavenly Father’s face.
In his presence I find the peace to calm my troubled mind.
He walks with me on green garden paths and by Blue Mountain streams.
I hear his still soft voice whisper in the sound of rippling streams
and in the whisper of the pine trees.
Ever listening for my call, around me his mercy drops fall.
When I bow beneath my heavy load and tears streak my face
He is always there with a warm embrace.
When God speaks in whispers I can see his love all around

Wisdom comes with what we hear in the elements. God is everywhere, the sounds in moving water, the rustle of the leaves and the breath of air we breath. Good job Jim

Lori, this is so pastoral and reminds me of a paper I am writing for literature class right now...it's on the Psalms and its place in literature. You draw to a reverent mood and to the places where the authors probably wrote the original text from. This is so wonderfully constructed--and the ending is a pink pretty bow. Congrats on a special win. Gwendolen

Yes, this sounds like a close walk with God..It is good that we still have these places to enjoy on the earth and be able to commune with God and nature..Very descriptive and expressive work..Thanks for your kind review of my work..Sara
