When Everything Can Wait
Flying over mountains,
Peaks covered in snow,
Mix with clouds of white,
Green patches add perspective,
We fly over oceans,
Blue and reflective,
Travelled by many ships,
Surviving the many storms,
By night the city lights shine,
Bright and welcoming,
Almost intimidating,
Yet we fly home,
To the place of skyscrapers,
Monuments and business,
Where people run to climb stairs,
And nothing can wait,
We may go back to the quiet sanctuary,
When all falls apart,
And everything becomes strained,
When everything can wait.
