When Do We Know - For Orchidea

How are we supposed to know when we’ve met “the one,” If there aren’t any signs to lead us the right way? At times, I would rather give up and say, “I’m done,” Than spend my life with the wrong person every day. What if it’s the gal who works at the bar next door, Where I find myself sitting several times a week? I stay there visiting until they close at four, Hoping she doesn’t find it strange that I don’t drink. She’s such a beautiful woman on the outside, That I just had to stop by one night for awhile. She is just as phenomenal on the inside. I so enjoy spending time with her and her smile. After a week or two of small talk and stories, I thought that we were starting to become good friends. I was going to ask her out, not strings or worries, But, then I found out that she has a boyfriend. I was surprised that she hadn’t said anything, But I guess I knew it was too good to be true. If only I had met her sometime in the spring, My days spent alone might be so very few. At least, now I know what to look for in another. She’s made me see the type of woman that I need. If I find someone even half as good as her, I will grow old a very happy man indeed.
