When Contest
Eger and craving to know the right time,
Rushing waters invade my fragmented mind,
Anticipation, filled with earnest desire,
Roaring like a mid-day fire,
Once and for all, as soon as I can,
I no longer try to pretend,
While the minute’s slowly tic,
I lit a candle and burned out the wick,
Bring about question and develop the cause,
I sit in the silence and suddenly pause.
