What's It All About
Crunching snow beneath booted feet
Real to think and feel, today
Clearing cobwebs in forgotten cells
Trusting life will still go on, without
Cool wind on red cheeks and hands
Mind slowly numbing, oblivious
Only the warmth inside beating alive
Memories grasp and release, sighs
Holds close in mind with soul yearning
A flurry of flakes scatter, softly
Breathtaking beauty and landscapes alike
Too soon to think or leave, settle
Wrapped in love in a blanket white
Hearts red and pounding, applaude
Life is and was and always will be
A mirage filled yet locked, mindful
