What Truly Makes Me Mad

Politics, the government, or the lack there of
The murderers and rapists or all of the above

I look around and see the ignorance of others
Violence in the streets and horribly bad mothers

Fathers against sons, liars, lust and thieves
Prisoners of war and so many of us in need

If I were to pick one thing that truly makes me mad
I would have to say it’s the things that make me feel so sad

I don’t feel I can change it though I would if I could
I’d bring peace on earth and happiness, trading all this bad for good.

Congratulations, Lolita, on your win in Michael Degenhardt's "What's Got Your Goat" contest. So many problems exist in the world, sometimes tracking the source can prove difficult! Pride in actions rather than pride in possessions or appearance would prove beneficial. Warm regards, John.
