What to Do This Weekend

Again, you ask, “What can we do?”
“Let’s go somewhere by car.”
Spend great money for entertainment.
It’s a struggle to please you.
     I’d rather be alone sometimes.

I like great books.
Intelligent ideas.
     However, nothing-to-do creeps in.

How many friends can I serve?
“What activities do you-all like?”
Do weekends bore you too?
It seems we all need better “things-to-do.”
The world is not so entertaining.

I take solitude.
I had to take a nap.
TV has been a bore.
I am refusing to just fill time.
I ask for a little more.

Like some basic mental health, which seems to increasingly evaporate the closer one invests in the District of Columbia. Thx for your comment and for your lively and curious spirit.
