"what They Say and Play"

As many mind games cloud the way

Every night and every day

People not meaning what they say

Theses be mind games humans play

Saying, "Eat drink and be gay!"

To abide golden rule is nay

Areas of minds in the grey

PERDITION piper shall require pay

Birth rights being sold away

Their serpents to and fro doth sway

As good of many hearts, they spay

Thus morality they do fray

All twists of mind’s rules, they okay

Be tares, not of Master’s__ bouquet!

Good job, John. I like the use of tares, that's a word that should see some more print. The serpents line is good. The bouquet rhyme at the end is excellent. How about " perdition's piper.." Just a suggestion. Thanks to you and regards, Gerard.

mind games is how this world works.its crazy sometimes, the things we really do just to get someone, or something.some mind games are really worth it though, but those are the one's with the most meaning, and maybe in deeper ways as well. i hope you're well, Moses. -Always&Forever Lynette

Darn! This poem should have appeared in the second-place rankings, John. I don't know why it came up as an honorable mention. I think it's very well written and has a powerful message! Love, Carolyn
