What the Sky Told Me

Slow down, even with prayer, look at SKY So easy to forget, as with God, and why? We THINK we must hurry. Don't. Attend fully.

Thank you Paul (always reminds me of the Apostle). Even Eckhart Tolle had the experience, when he looked - really looked without thinking - everything was brighter & more beautiful. We hurry through God's creation as kids fly through Disney Land (& Disney World). Shalom, shalom Paul Take good care.

Prioritising earthly material things is what keeps us back. As you rightly say, we need to slow down...stop, meditate, take a good look around us..and give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar while giving to God what belongs to God. // You always manage to make us ponder and reason, Anil! ~ Regards // paul

If I used "God" for "Sky" we. humans, will be as guilty of taking God & Sky/space for granted. GUILTY, guilty, guilty ? Because we have to rush: priority this & that, Urgent Meetings, TOP SECRET. Okay .... and now, we survived without them. And PRIORITY seating everywhere on land, sea, & air. Just observing ... busy, important, humans. Shalom, shalom

DR. Wells, you said in a comment ... if RELIGION is not front & center, the TRUTHS can be discerned across faiths. I guess I am a Christian because SPIRIT pursued me in a certain way ... because of my complaints about my native South African system of apartheid. Religion is a way of thinking ... I have both Hindu & Jesus/Gospels (I do mean Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John, not what BAPTISTS ... tell me)

Prayer, meditation, clearing the mind. I studied Transcendental Meditation (TM) and read the works of Alan Watts concerning Zen Buddhism. Buddhists often refer to mindfulness and the illuminated mind. The Quakers believe in the inner light, sometimes referred to as the Christ within or simply God. I see this as a fascinating parallel between east and west which suggests a commonality in human experience and the importance of religion in cultural life. Great work!
