What She Wants To Hear

This poem is about the preconceptions people have about others before they really get to know them. It also hopes to share the things everyone loves to hear from a partner.
She thought she was only able to see,
The world she thought she saw,
The world she thought she lived within,
But that was all before,
She opened the eyes of her heart to love,
She opened her heart to a man,
And he told her those things she needed to hear,
So a new journey for her began,
He said “You’re right, we are together,
If you want to talk, I am here,
And I think you are the most beautiful woman,
And I will never disappear.”
These words and more freed her from
Preconceptions of love and passionate lust,
They cleaned her life of her assumptions of men,
They freed her of the rust.
