What My Father Told Me

If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything... Keep your nose out of other people's business... Don't go where you're not wanted... When in Rome, do as the Romans do... "On time" means ten minutes early... Everything in moderation... These echoes, discs spinning in my head, linger long... If only I had listened to what my father told me...

Yes, nette, so true. They have helped me so much ever since I finally started 'growing up' in my 40's---or, rather, since I began to shed my naivete back then. :)

"In time means ten minutes early" - this is something I would like to put as a headline on every company newsletter, and enforce it too.

Unfortunately, except for the advice about time, stubborn me did, indeed, wind up learning the hard way. Very perceptive on your part, Alexis. :) gw
