What Matters

Hiya! Hullo! How do you do? Where's your husband today? Oh, he's down with the flu And yours? Oh, he's here he's just gone to the loo Nice weather we're having and doodle-dee-doo... (If we can't say what matters why am I talking to you?) My husband has cancer my mother broke a hip and I have mad cow- but I can't let that slip! Your husband is cheating you're in quite a mess your daughter's a truant your boss is a pest I just lost my job and I needed the money if things weren't so tragic they might be quite funny- For my pipes burst this morning and my closet collapsed and my sister just dumped her three kids in my lap And you've gotten hives and your hair's falling out and I don't even know what we're talking about- Oh yes, that new show it's on channel two... (If we can't say what matters why am I talking to you?)

Hello Rhona, you ca talk to your best friend. You could tell her everything and she would keep it to herself. I tell my best friend.things i do not tell family. You can always trust a best friend. Have a nice evening my friend.

Real friends never get tired of your rants and woes; but, watch out, they're going to give you theirs too. The ultimate test but, real friends always pass it. Well penned.

I really loved this poem and message! There is an expression "If you cant talk about nothing you will not be able to talk about something" but at some point with real friends, the whole point is to talk about something. Now if I were to talk about something , that might be like 200 page poem! LOL

Oh Rhona, I am the kind of person guilty of TMI, so once in a while, when a friend or acquaintance asks me how i am, I actually start telling them my REAL problems. You can really tell your true friends by their reactions to this!!! Love this poem.

Oh, I am like that, too... but I have learned there are a few people in this world who it is not always wise to pour your heart out to... and I do not like dealing with toxic or artificial people like that. Although, you're right- telling them how you're REALLY doing is a quick way to find out whether they're real or not! ;)

Love your quick, saucy wit here, Rhona (reminds me of our mutual friend Caren!)

I don't know if Coronation Street is on the air, but they sure could have used you as a writer! Well done! Aloha! Rico
