What It Means To Me

I know poetry may mean just writing to you
But it means a lot more then that to me
It is the very drug that sets me free
The very high that gets me by
Once I have cast away emotions
With pen and paper
I am new again

No matter how angry or upset i get
I just write
I make my thoughts come alive
Upon this pen and paper I strive

It saves me from drinking my worries away
Something most tend to do
And I am sorry they they
Do not see
How much this can mean to me

I now no longer have to complain
Writing is my restrain

Good to know. Honestly, writing should be this way. There are a lot of people that just write because everyone else does, rather than from the heart. Great one :]
