What Is Death
What is death but an unnatural word
Nature’s call when living creatures are in need
When released from pain, age and great difficulty
Wishing what we had done or not done
Hoping perhaps the next time we will evolve
And become our wishes of goodness and care
Power physical, chemical light and heat
Evolving matter and living energy
Rising to the universe we know not where
Perhaps in the heaven's life forces may call
From family, friends teachers and prophets
From loving creatures dogs, horses and kittens
Or the essence at the end changes and we know not how
Yet we sense through the difficulties of life
There is a kind of rest that is meant to be
And finally comes
