What Is a Promise
What is a promise? An off hand remark? A hiss from your tongue, words with silent meanings a second thought, a contrived punch to my heart, a lie that hurts maybe the sharp slap he likes to exert to my face my trust is but lace A phrase said in hast to smooth out the pain but my memories remain as scars to my brain
