What is a Clown? what is a clown? mystery and ambiguity the crying face that makes us smile the joy that lasts but for a while masquerader of lies attempting temporary misdirection of sadness desire for journey into the surreal entertainment for a child repulsive, distorted image of humanity momentary escapism jester fool scapegoat endless anything which is impossible and laughter born by mockery. 5/16/19 The Smile at the Foot of a Ladder Poetry Contest Sponsored by: craig cornish 9th

Thanks for the placement craig. I did not think it would catch on. Great contest idea. I thought a lot about clowns and they have never amused me.

Like I told craig, I don't care for clowns although I know it is an art. I have never thought anything was funny about a clown.
