What In Life, Can We Truly Ever Hold
What In Life, Can We Truly Ever Hold
What of life, brings us such great thrilling calls
Weeks dancing about, floating on cloud nine
Remember as children huge red beach balls
And ice cream eating, strawberry was fine!
Why does time, take away more than it gives
Starting with loved family and dear pets
Could it be, that life devours as it lives
And we wrongly try to cover all bets!
Remember when jukebox songs cost a dime
Double header movies just fifty cents
Back when we had more joy and far less crime
Time was plentiful, so easily spent!
What in life, can we truly ever hold
Other than memories when we grow old!
