What I See In You
What I see in you, there is so much,
so much positive and good,
I'm wonderin' if you can see the light,
'cause I behold the brightnessof you.
When I see you in your simple life,
your t-shirt, jeans, and Reeboks,
Turns my head faster than anything,
makes me love you all the more.
Dressin' up is important to me,
for church, and special occasions,
But I want to see you just as you are,
unadorned and unashamed.
The first thing I ever saw of you,
the brightest star I've seen,
Is the shine of your simple smile,
it stopped me in my tracks,
turned my eyes to you,
not leaving your side,
Since you first smiled,
my boring, dull life is brightened.
