What Fascinates Me

What happens when we die? I really want to know! I’m getting up in age and am ready for the show! Religious fundamentalists say things won’t be good for souls unbaptized or for those not living as they should. I went to church when younger and followed rules as well, but I hear discrepancies regarding heaven and hell. Because I’m not one given to spiritual displays such as Holy Roller moments, I’m somewhat in a daze! Testimonies others give confound me even more. Would God send most to hell if they didn’t know what for? The Chinese have no preachers. People think so differently depending on their upbringing; it’s all perplexing me! And so with fascination, I read books or I hear of people having NDE’s, which takes away my fear. Away from Heaven’s lovely light these “dead” souls get yanked back. Inside their bodies once again, fear’s now a thing they lack! How marvelous it has to be – to feel within your heart sensations of that place from which you did not wish to part. All things regarding after-life and pre-existence too make me utterly enthralled. I know such things are true. Too many people have things happen while they’re lying dead for it to be hallucinations . It’s truth to which they’re led. Reincarnation also once had been a Christian view. Astrology ties into this, and that I’ve studied too. I think the minds of humans are too small to comprehend the otherworldly things we all will learn of in the end. Psychics, ghosts, UFO’s, and things like ESP. What do they mean? How awesome really knowing it would be! May 24, 2022 for Jeff Kyser's Fascination And Awe Poetry Contest

A superb write on the topic What Fascinates Me. Many questions come in our mind especially on what comes after death. But for me, I believe we all go back to our Creator who lent us our life. Congratulations, Andrea: All I know is we are energy and energy can’t be destroyed. If they could prove the soul exists all the mystery of life and death would be gone. We know for sure there is good and evil and that we are capable of both.

I guess the big question is to what degree we deviate. The other theory is all is predestined and that free will is an illusion. My kindred sister, I love your entry! We believe the same about most everything. You remember my mother had a NDE which is why I believe in the afterlife and reincarnation. Also, I'm a strong believer in Reincarnation and even gave a talk to a spiritual group I was in about NDEs. I think they prove its truth. Wow - your poem has opened people up. That's wonderful!

WoW! Andrea, You have penned a well-written, thought-provoking piece. I, too, wonder about what happens when we die. In my humble opinion, I don't think folk is “ fine” with dying. Alexis, on the documentaries for NDE's, the folks who came back to life actually look forward to dying. They do not fear it at all because they know they are going to a better place. I envy them for having that kind of conviction!

Andrea so much to say to this thought provoking piece. The aliens, and UFO's are demonic beings, the bible speaks of the occult, and claravoyence. It describes all this content. Read my Pinebush story, it will give you some insight to these beings...

i have read your pinebush story and how the aliens were evil. Do you think it's possible they perhaps live in a part of our world that is not even from outer space. There are stories of "good aliens" too. So much to understand one day!

I've spent a lifetime studying the things you write about here. I have no fear of death whatsoever, and I don't believe the prevalent ideas of heaven and hell. Nonsense to me. The NT teaches reincarnation. It's an old, old tenet no longer recognized by fundamentalists, but Jesus believed in it. Deb said it was the greatest journey she'd ever take, and I believe that, too. Come to your own sense of peace, not allowing others to feed you their theories, as though they know more than you do.

I believe some Roman emperor got rid of reincarnation belief because he did not like how it empowered people. Because of others' past lives stories, I am really interested in reincarnation.

This is really well thought and done! Most Americans cannot even imagine how Native Americans could live without a church or leaders to restrict them to the straight and narrow! But no need to rush to The End, as everything is best in its season. Aloha!
