The Ones Sitting Pretty Many poems are like butterflies to me. Some are beautiful but elusive. I can’t catch them! I much prefer the ones sitting pretty on the leaves inside my book. Fluttering delight, translucent ones can make me catch my breath! Written Oct. 24, 2016 for the contest of Alexis Y

Hhmmm...What does poetry mean to me? Something intangible that possesses an unique and indefinable quality that evades the senses and confounds description. Your beautiful little poem has that very same effect...I like it very much - Nicely done, Andrea! My very best regards. :) john

Indeed, the meaning of some poems is elusive. I think it's only natural to favor the ones that have that "aha" moment at the end. A creative approach to the contest. Wishing you success, Andrea!
