What Could Have Been

Here I am
Thinking about what could’ve been
While you’re travelin’
Probably not thinking how it’s our end
Would things have turned out different?

Maybe that one time if I had managed to
Talk to you
Maybe if when they asked me how I felt for you,
I wouldn’t refuse

Would we be laying side by side
Staring at the moonlight?

Our fate would have been written in the stars
A beautiful glamour,
Not a haunting scar

It pains me that there’s no longer
Something called you and I
Maybe if I could catch a glimpse
Of what is called us
I would wish I could go back
Leave this realm of black
Say all the unspoken words between us
Maybe then our story would begin
And I wouldn’t be here thinking about
What could have been
