What Cannot Kill Me

Exploring unknown tracks beneath
Old moonless sky, in the ink of heart
Night becomes angst’s poison
Dark and strong:
Papyrus lies bare as thoughts fumble
Raking my verses...until hours change to dawn.
Lakes, egrets, and wildflowers croon
That in the hush of silence and music, I find
A divine universe so nourished within--
This roam a gleam knowing any obstacle
Cannot drown, kill the splendor
Of my art's passion to transcend fear.
