Weep Not For Withered Petals-Repost

Each day another velvet petal fell Like somber tears from weeping eyes A perfect flower was severed to quell It lay withering as it drooped and died Perfect flower, from bud to bloom Sweet-scented rose, it was no wonder That stifled in that sepulcher room You were enshrined, awaiting plunder Sadness lingers in me over your demise Withered petals are always a cause for pain But I'll remember you without tears in my eyes The memory of your fragrance shall remain ~ Reposted from 2015 ~

Such beauty is taken away serves as a warning that death has no preferences. Your poems are primarily of excellent quality. For us to be awakened of truth in this crumbling environment in which we find ourselves

It pains me to watch them wither. Much better to enjoy them on the stem, vine, etc. Thanks, Lasaad.

Your repost glows in beautiful sadness. That such beauty dies, is a reminder that death shows no favorites. Always exceptional verses you weave. That we may be reminded of reality in this decaying world that we inhabit. A fav.. God bless....
