Weep For the Innocent

Weep for the innocent ones who were slain in the name of hate. Weep for the children left fatherless, the spouse left without a mate, a parent whose child is no more. Then weep for this country and pray that we come together, without prejudice, to heal. 7/17/16 For Eve Roper's Triple Tectractys contest 2nd Place

This is beautiful Kim. We see the pain on the news and we get used to the sadness, but many do not feel true empathy as expressed in your poem. The news always makes the tears flow. Congratulations on your well deserved second placement Kim! 7 ; )
