Notes About The Poem
The shamrock pinned on colleee
Wearing of the Green
We wear the green, St. Patrick's Day,
In honor of the Irish Saint
Who chased all of the snakes away
And bade them not to come again.
An Irishman without complaint,
Will celebrate in pouring rain.
The shamrock pinned on colleen's dress
And found in every Irish home
Was plant St. Patrick used to bless
And explain the Holy Trinity.
On every path where he would roam
He walked in meek humility.
We wear the green St. Patrick's Day,
The shamrock pinned on colleen's dress.
