We Nurses Have a Saying

 

the lights are on but nobody is home,
the confused elderly mumble and roam,
at the nursing desk they stand,
their minds in another land,
no shoes, no clothes, the hair could use a comb.

Jan Allison May 4, 2015 at 11:32 AM Oh this is so sad Broken Wings - I can relate to it so much as there was a man at mum's care home trying to 'escape' - he was only in for respite for a few days - he has Alzheimer so his carers needed a break:-) good luck in the contest:-) Hugs Jan xx
