We Never Walk Alone

Often times in life we all need to hear,
the words uttered, “I’m standing beside you.”
Those times when perhaps we're engulfed by fear,
and we’re not exactly sure what to do.
It’s then we turn to a higher power,
believing He’ll make our choices certain.
Jesus should always be man of the hour,
for it’s He who draws our final curtain.
God has a purpose for existing pain,
sometimes it tests our faith and trust in Him.
Placing trust in others will prove in vain,
make this life's fight become Heavens prelim.
