We Never Listen To Us

we never listen to us very well here we come and there we go i don't know about a warm no i saw me leaving their eyes long ago if i had a thermometer of compassion , would it be still so if i had a saddle for my passion , could've i avoided this blow if i had a silencer for this machine gun of voices , would've i listened to my canned wisdoms so unknown is the name so known is the soul by time fades the sayer, orphaned words written on the wall how can you make grace out of your fall be gentle with your wounds dam them rebellious tears, all right all right I'll let ooze don't fail my lips, you promised forever our smile, yeah we'll never lose what about my foggy brains they say negativity drains so let's sweep it clean let's forget what we've felt or seen let's be like the moon no matter how cruel is the night never turned off it's light give especially when out of sight someday we'll sit and smile, it was a good fight now let's walk like we're going somewhere i can feel it in the air Tamer Hossam
