We Know Each Other Well
We've been married for so long now
We know just what each others thinks
By seeing every tick or twitch
Our need for conversation shrinks
Why just the other day my wife
Said,"You've got that look once more"
"You've thought of a great new poem"
"One that you wish you'd wrote before"
Sheepishly I said,"you're right"
She said,"That's what I knew it'd be"
I said,"you know me oh so well"
Then mad she said,"Get off of me!"
