Wayward Soul
She descended down from a cloudless horizon,
The white satin wrapped around her lithe figure,
She pointed the way,
Tracing a path,
Pass the hedgerows that formed a barrier,
In all directions,
And said five winters west,
Look for the sway of the winds,
Where acres grow the grapes of wrath,
And where night never ends,
I must brave the forest,
Walk the burning stones,
Conquer mountains,
And dive the depths of hell alone,
She told me i will tread on evil,
I will see the devastation of human ego,
Until i come to the edge of the world,
Where there is only my reflection,
And all the crystal eyes of the sky watching,
To see who is the victor,
To see who is left standing on the edge,
I must jump this leap of faith,
Plummet into the darkest of space,
To be reborn,
Without scorn,
With these wings,
I fly back to her.
