Wayward

Now she's here and now she's there, flittering and flying through the hours in a day, laughing now, then crying. Her moods are fleeting, they grasp her in a flash then just as fast they fizzle like a firework in the rain. Would that she were constant like the moon! self-directed, self-assured, without a care, but she is wayward, ever flickering, fluttering, floundering, more there than anywhere.

Well done Keith. This piece really caught my attention. I like it. With poetic flow it captures the essence of "mood." Please feel free to submit this piece for publication in the Blue Fog Journal. Mention my name in the subject line as inviting this poem so I can push it to th top of the cue. ED COET Editor, Blue Fog Journal

Superb pen, Keith! This strikes a brash chord of truth which I can relate to from my dealings with Manic Depression/Bi-polar Disorder from family in the past. The ending proves especially haunting, as if unraveling much like her personality. Deep, meaningful and memorable! Warm regards, John.

Hey Keith! I smiled...for even the moon goes through its phases. Though it be strong and bright, it may still be over-shadowed by the elements. I imagine t'would be better to be the sun. At least when it rains, it can throw out a rainbow!:) Wonderfully conceived and penned.(smartie pants!:) <-Joking...sighh.. You truly are a superbe writer! Wishing you and your the best..God bless! Why yes, kind Sir, i DID mean altar! lol Thank you O wise one who knoweth grammar so well. :) as for this write, this actually reminds me of the whole bi-polar issue. My husband and young son are afflicted with this, as well as adhd, so it is difficult much of the time, emotionally and otherwise. I'm sorry to hear you were, as you put it, in the loony bin - I am glad you are out, and on the path to recovery.so much to overcome in this life, it's a wonder we are still here. living. love, Kristin
