For Edward's Contest - Chosen Topic : Ways of Providence.  2/8/25

“The only real influence I've ever had was over myself.” The Artist Edward Hopper ( Re: Altering or creating Providence.)
Assuming there are more brilliant ways, That our life takes twists and turns like a maze, Yet do we have influence over unforeseen plans, For our future and the way it evolves and spans ? I believe that our Heavenly Father oversees all. And sometimes He saves us from a stumbling fall. Destiny and fate seems to be deemed from the start. Providence to me is the act of a kind heart. It can happen in the midst of drama, danger or untold adversity. Before I was born, providence offered the plan for me, a diversity. I'll tell a true story, so allow me to set the scene. Sydney Australia, in the year 1953 December nineteen. Shopping for Christmas presents, so many she had been collecting. The young woman was feeling quite tired as she was expecting. She was slight with a baby bump, and all remarked, she was very pretty. She longed to arrive home, kick off her new shoes, far away from the city. She was laden with parcels as she stepped on the train. Looking up and down the isles, checking back and forth again. Dismayed, as she would have to stand as there was not a vacant seat. Noticing a neighbor in the next carriage, that she did not expect to meet. Deciding to make her way to see her friend, she was feeling less forlorn. Oh, did I mention I was that baby not yet born.? She was going to move, when a kind gentleman offered his seat. Graciously she accepted, so glad to rest her tired feet. Train Crashed! It jerked with mighty force, plummeting things everywhere. My mum woke up in hospital, with nurses tending to her with care. We were OK. Mum, Dad and the family believe providence applied. Sadness reined until my birth as five in the next carriage had died. Fate had her going to that carriage and we would have been doomed. Providence stepped in at the last minute and changed destiny it's assumed. Selflessly purchasing gifts to celebrate His birthday, Providence changed our lives in a very special way. The ways of providence and why it happens seem quite unknown, But many such stories all over the world can be shown. One thing is for certain, even though we may not completely understand, It's so true, everyone's God, is the responsible hand. He is in command.
