Wayra - Lantern

Wayra - Lantern Stumbling across Borders made by my darkness My lantern glowing dimly - Anointing oil runs low - Your words of blessing light my feet. 5/21/20 Sponsor: Nette Onclaud Contest: Weaving a Wayra Poetry Contest

You so eloquently described the boarders our own darkness creates - and the ending of 'words of blessings' spark a glow of hope, so poignant-

Many thanks, Michelle. I just can't help myself - can't leave a poem in darkness. I do believe hope lives and shows us what is possible. Often hard to see sometimes. All the best!

A lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my heart. I like the direction you took with this wayra, Sam. Both humble and hopeful. I have struggled with this one, thanks for the inspiration, my dear friend. Every night game needs light, right? ~ John

I too struggled with this theme. Had a number of ways to go but that verse just lit me up! Thought you, and several others, might get the reference - a light in the darkness. Can't wait to see where the light takes you! Without light, it's hard to see the fences at night! Thank you my friend!
