Watered-Down Juice
Let’s go on a journey, reversing time and space.
Back before every rat had joined my race.
This is one memory that I’ll try and share.
We’ll have to pass through the dark, only come if you dare.
It’s about a young boy’s first day on the farm.
With cats and dogs, and three pigs in the barn.
A mother and father, who’s love was shared.
A moment in time when I actually cared.
Right before the light disappeared from my sky.
Before the darkened night, had caused me to cry.
Before depression had squandered my very soul.
Back in the day, when I still had a full bowl.
This is about a young boy running free in the woods,
feeling happy and laughing, like all boys should.
Not a care in the world, free from danger and harm.
Before the evil, that came to visit our farm.
There was no fear, no fighting to live.
Only my Mother and Father and their willingness to give.
The rest gets cloudy and fades off underground.
Before my living hell, and that’s watered down.
