Hi Haiku verses fascinate me Paul mainly because I have never tried my hand out at writing such poetry. This one however I enjoyed most of all. Top contest poets, six months running, that says everything! We were at the coast 3 weeks ago (the weekend of black Sunday) and i watched surfers riding these waves, a magnificent sight. Congratulations on this win. Warm wishes, Jennifer.

I agree with you, Jennifer...haiku fascinate with the endless possibilities with which they are capable of delivering so much with so little! Thank you for yet again a most pleasant visit. ~ Warm regards // paul

This gave me chills Paul. The picture with the big wave reminded me we have hurricane Lane heading directly for our island. Your haiku always shine Paul because I can tell you truly understand the form. Congratulations on your win! This gem is going into my faves! : )

Thank you for the complimentary comments and fav, Connie. I heard that Hurricane Lane was losing some of its strength, but threatening a direct hit on Oahu. I hope it won't be unkind to you. Regards // paul

How I love your haiku punch lines, Paul! Excellent work once again. Wish you could teach me the knack for doing these, but I think it may be a skill inherent only to a chosen few. Love, Carolyn
