You made me smile Mark as my muse has gone awol I have had little time for soup or writing and its so unlike me but maybe my husbands cancer therapy recently has given me something else to focus on but now we are back home the muse is showing signs of coming out of hiding at last:-) hugs Jan x

Congratulations Mark, with this poem being featured on the site homepage. Sometimes, words need to gather before they are placed upon the page. Patience is a Virtue. I am happy the words found you and your muse. :) Brandy

Hi Mark - I can see that this was written awhile ago, but I just jumped into the soup a few weeks ago, and just wanted to say I do love this poem. You say so much with a one powerful metaphor and a few words.

Dear Mark, thank you for asking about me. I'm still at the site but not as much as I used to be. I see you haven't posted a new poem in awhile either. Hope you are still writing. I've been trying to get a better balance with my writing and getting back to submitting for print publication. I enjoyed reading this poem again today. Have a wonderful weekend. Karen

Mark, where are you? You turned the soup pot on and left the stove. The pot is running over. Time for you to get back here and clean up the mess you left behind. Love, Carol

Dear Mark - I know the feeling...we call it writer's block? I, myself, experience these lapse(s)... often. LOL! No need to worry though - you've created a wonderful community here at PSoup. Never a moment goes by when one can/can't click onto this site and be "poetically" rejuvenated again! You and your team have done a great job here. I thank you for that. Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy New Year. Best wishes and peace always, John
