War For Love

You know I love you I love my country more Enemies around like sharks Can't hide in a bunker anymore I kissed you deep We were in love The tides rocked our love boat I have to calm the seas Can't wait I have to save my motherland Pay any price but win to be in your arms for ever Am always with you my dear in your heart and mind Wipe away your tear Shall be back soon my dear I know it sounds hollow War can't buy peace Bombs shatter hearts Guns can't teach love Don't my enemies ever love My guns keep booming My eyes are wet I call war for love On 26 Nov 2008, terrorists from Pakistan gunned down innocent children, women and men in Mumbai This is my tribute to the Policemen who risked their lives to save the civilians.

Suresh, this is really touching and I know how I felt when I was in Mumbai.... I was in office and generally I used to take train from Churchgate but that time, I went straight from Lower Parel that day. Guess what, I had to go to VT that day but I didn't and this all happened and I was so upset with the loss of innocent lives that I can't explain....This is a good tribute to policemen.... keep writing, you are a good poet!

Hi Suresh. This is a very moving tribute. There is much hurt and pain caused by some peoples distorted loyalty resulting in evil actions.Yet there is much love shown by loyalty to the truth that 'Allah is merciful','God is love'You've captured, the good and the bad in this piece so well and shared with us your loving heart, thank you.My gratitude goes out also to those brave men who defied evil in the name of love. They give us hope.My thanks also for your kind comments for my own work.Love June(S)
