WAR AND PEACE

Men full of anger
Have unleashed their troops
Their brutal terror is upon the land
Blood is flowing unto the rivers
The air is full of men and women’s screams
Animals and babies are crying in innocence
The trees and grass are burning
Deaf ears and the soulless living dead
Continue their tidal wave of sin.
But the world is standing before God
Lord have mercy upon us, grant us Peace
In this time of unravelling death

But the world which stands before the Lord
Its tidal wave of sin cannot continue
The troops of angry men cannot remain unleashed
Their brutal terror on the land will cease
Blood that is flowing unto the rivers will stop
The air full of men and women's screams
Will return to the primal silence of eternal peace
Animals and babies will stop crying in innocence
For the peace of heaven will shine upon us
In this time of death and madness.

For there is always another ever present reality
The silent secret world of our hidden earthly paradise
The underworld of silent coral reefs, mountain cow pastures
The golden dunes of infinite desert sand

Where tropical fish swim undisturbed, cows graze
And camel caravans march to speechless rhythms for millenniums
Tuscan and Provencal wine chateaux sit on ancient hillsides
Where vineyards and cypresses breathe a timeless eternal essence

Where saints once walked in an embracing daily peace
Where peace is always underlying the evolving creation
This is the always present peace of God’s planned Heaven
It breathes up from the forest floor, in and out through the clouds

Its waves roll down across the furrowed fields
To the sun shining on the surface of an inland sea.
O Lord grant us the grace that this peace we shall see
Flowing out from heaven on the wings of angel’s wisdom.

For be assured that as day follows night
The world is not all snow storms, sneezing seizures
Nor screams, nor blood, nor the abandoned dead
Nor sirens of war nor raging psychopaths.

Do not give up hope. Peace lives inside you.
Beauty and Peace will show its ever-present face
Everything finds its fate in the peace of God’s grace
And it will fill and re-new the crust of war-torn earth too.
