Wandering Gypsy Boy

Wandering gypsy boy, have you not learned by now, That everything you touch is only for now? By tomorrow you’ll be on your way In this life you have chosen in which to stay Yet still you wonder if this one might Follow you through the pitch black of the night Keep up with you on feet To the next destination that you seek “It’s not that hard,” you think, “At least it isn’t for me” For the other’s though you can not speak Nor either hear or see If alone is the worst you’ll ever be Than the best you can be is free
