Waltz On Leaves
When my soul, stirred deep, can not be still
When heart and mind meet in the same place
Words grow wings and how my pen flies!
They waltz on leaves as they paint the scenes
Through the eyes of the soul colors burst forth
From my view; I feel and speak my truth
To stall or raise walls would wreck the flow
They would die in the dust, and my essence, haunt
Poems of love and praise; life and death
Spring from my heart, a place, soft and warm
Once penned are set free; let loose in the world
To lift; not raze, but to heal and stir!
