Walking Poor
Hey there pain runs deep to arthritic knee bones,
Sure I want but it's getting up wanting a better life,
That's the hard part; one foot in front of the other,
Christians see that I want to be successful,
They see my determination when it is easier to stop,
Pain fills step by step crumbling to fall,
But that would mean giving in and I refuse to fall,
This isn't my world; this isn't where I feel,
Peace of being among my own, not lost to fall,
Falling down isn't the hard part, been down, am there,
Arthritis cramping my hands still I ripple to Melissa,
Her music calming me, I want to run my own business,
Struggling to succeed to never be poor again,
So I walk Not to be
Walking Poor!
