Deb dieted to a size four She walked and her bones scratched the floor Her knee caps were locking But no men came knocking It’s Christmas, can’t take anymore! So now Deb sits waiting for Nick It's cold, he best get here real quick Ole Nick has eight pets As good as it gets It’s rumored they fly (what a trick!) Nick warned her he carries such pudge That Deb fears his sleigh will not budge But he vowed they’d ride With Rudolph as guide O’er rooftops through snow, rain and sludge *November 28, 2018 For Sara’s “Park Bench at Christmas” Contest Image Number Six

They tend to fill fast when you old or new limericks. It seems lots of Soupers have Christmas limericks and they're such fun to read!

Picture is certainly a stark contrast to a bubbly overweight and jolly Santa. A different approach, but really enjoyed it! Perhaps one of us should invite Deb over for Christmas lunch, but unfortunately it seems like too little too late for those rattling bones! Wishing you loads of luck! oxox, Jennifer.

Thanks for noticing, Lawrence. Lately, I've been paying attention to the prescribed meter for limericks for my own work. I appreciate your kind thoughts.

Photo reminds me of young ladies waiting for their lover on Parisian park benches…. Nice that Deb loves fat, old men, but few fat. old men prefer boney women . . . . . so let us hope Prince Charming arrives before Christmas Eve …Bonne chance! Rico

This was really cute Carolyn and I love the theme of this, so very creative. So, how did Deb make out, was Nick her kind of guy. Hey, he only works one day a year so look at the vacation time to could have. :) I really had fun reading this my friend. Best of luck in the contest.

Thanks for reading, Chris. Given Deb's photo up top, she'd look pretty strange dressed as Mrs. Claus.
