Waiting

A day seems like a decade
A few miles become a chasm
So close and yet so far
Each day I can't see you

It's not a mountain from a molehill
Not dramatic, intense, or needy
But I hate to make you lonely
Each day I can't see you

One day there will be no barricades
No obstacles in the way
Until then I'll dream of when
Each day is spent with you
