Visions
Visions of the future, visions of the past
Things that happen, but do not last
What goes before imprints on the mind
Visions from a dream, of a different kind
Sleep while awake, live while asleep
Memories are hidden, deep inside to keep
Sad ones, nice one’s, there to recall
Like showing a film, to see them all
Images of a car crash, soon to occur
Did it really happen, or was it just a blur
Promises to someone, forgotten now
Back to haunt again in a dream somehow
Things happening now after years untold
Visions of the past all start to unfold
Keeping sane amongst the madness
Trying hard not to feel the sadness
True feelings are amongst the visions as they appear
Looking back at the past again without any fear
Deep down inside, where the feelings don’t show
The visions they come, and the visions they go
