Vision
VISION
So long spent struggling up the hill, trying to outlast it,
To come at it from other directions; then
Out of the blue
Catching a glimpse
Of beyond
An open warm vale,
Sunfilled flowers,
Quiet peace
A vision
Of the journey home
After the tussle
With the upslope.
Low crests marking
The close horizon
Inviting me to breathe again
