Vintage Charm

across my bed
I drape
a vintage
handmade quilt
sewn with precision
and loving care
it keeps me warm
it keeps me safe
as if
at night
still in the arms
of my sweet grand-mother
as if
at night
she were still here
with me with us

There is nothing like a beautiful quilt made by loving hands that are no longer here physically but here in all ways in the hug of that tender quilt they spent maybe a year making. Sweet write, Line.
