I truly hope Victor will come back, a great poet, a wise person, who could write on many topics. Is sad to see the duplicity of some here, who have attacked others and yet pretend to be angels. If only poetrysoup took care of those issues.

a man of wisdom life integrity strong and with love soft words have reached me a man to be listened too The archer murdered The Maltese falcon born Knights take care of all

sometimes it's hard to understand about the bullying ... I just don't get it... , but I rarely see it.. and Victor is all that...

We learn to give, share and care.. that deeply feeds our sense of humanity and reason for being.. Hurting others, I think, is but hurting our selves.. It is getting far away from attaining inward harmony and beauty.. Sometimes, Leaving is not betraying! If Victor has left, it is because he couldn't betray his convictions, values, self esteem and inner beauty.. Victor a poet of grandeur to whom I'm grateful.. Thank you so much Arthur for sharing. A heart of Beauty! You see in others what You are.

Yours is a fitting tribute to my fellow countryman, Arthur! I do not know why Victor left, but he must have valid reasons. For sure, he will be missed by many @ Soup. Like you, I look forward to his return. Regards // paul

It is sad to see him go. I agree he is one of the best poets here. Sad that it only takes a few rotten apples to spoil the bushel. We should all start thinking like a family not strangers. Hope he returns. Love

What a shame that Victor has left PS! I’m really saddened by this..he is such an amazing poet and very thoughtful and caring. I so appreciated when Victor commented on my poems and was so supportive. I truly hope Victor reconsiders and returns soon! :(

Arthur, I did not realize Victor was gone as he left a comment for me not long ago. It hurts to think a man of his caliber has been the target of someone who injures others with words. Gosh, your poem is a beautiful tribute to Victor and I hope he has the chance to see it. Sometimes we just need a break and then poets return. Some websites have hostile atmosphere and it's awful to see hostility here in our otherwise safe haven. Hugs, Carolyn (report the offender!)

Sometimes we have to block those who attack. Pity a sweet guy like Victor has had to experience this...

Makes me so sad when i talked to him last month he was talking about leaving the site, I suggested he took a break and he promised he would leave his poems, he did come back recently but I think the lack of support he's had with comments has a lot to do with his decision to leave but I'm not sure the real reason he's left. I've had the pleasure of meeting Victor and his late wife Liliane and it was a joy to spend time with them:-( hugs Jan xx

I share your sentiments Arthur..a lovely tribute you wrote to a good friend and poet. I am puzzled..did he really leave or is he just taking a break..like he did last month? Good poem you wrote to honor him.

Say it isn't so. Victor is one of the nicest most open minded, kindest people I have met here at Soup. Shame shame. This saddens me. Thank you for this Arthur, xomo

It seems there are some on here who get a kick out of making negative comments. We all need to stand together and get them kicked off the site. They are NOT welcome here. Well written Arthur. Tom.
