Velvet Tears

He said, “We all feel the same things eating away at our brains. Why do you hide the way you feel, when the way you feel could save someone’s life if you just tell them your story”.

He said, “Stop hiding. Stop trying to smile when I know you’re dying deep inside. I see your pain, I see you trying to blind it with that beautiful smile”.

But I woke up wanting to run, let it out and just cry. I know there’s someone feeling the same way as I do inside. I know, god I know. I know there’s a man putting a gun to his head because life has been unfair since his wife left him for another man. But that’s life, right?

Everyone’s dealing with their strife, everyone’s tempted by their own damn knife? I’ve NEVER seen a reason to lie to someone. I’ve NEVER seen a reason to hide my heart from someone. I know I want to die sometimes. I know we all wanna die sometimes.

Why lie about it? Why hide it like it’s a secret the world doesn’t know about?
I know we all want to die sometimes
I want to die sometimes.
I want to hide sometimes, but tell me,
Why lie?

I found this powerful for the entry and words are expressive. Yes, there are times it is hard to keep a smiling happy face. Your words have been received. Well done
