Notes About The Poem

Vaso Visits Ireland

Poetry is the fashion
The pope, the last bastion
Out with the old
In with the aborted

Crowds gather in anticipation
Poet Arthur recites To Patrick's Nation
England you see
Believes in the Orange and the free

They shout and they cheer
His fans are waiting for whiskey dear
Redheads filled with dragon tempers
A delight to Arthur's Kingdom of pleasure

Buried among the Scottish thistle
One day yee shall find the orange rose

		that tickles ones fancy

I suppose with what's left of my red beard(now white) I would fit right in. A most pleasant read, Arthur.

Just look at all those beautiful redheads! I love your poem, Arthur, and envy your visit "To Patrick's Nation." Hope you enjoyed your trip as much as I enjoyed reading your poem. Love, Carolyn

I adore Ireland and the Irish. I'd pop over to meet up but you may mistake me for one of the irish lassies but my colour covers the grey lol:-) hugs Jan xx
