Vanquishing Fear's Challenge

Lurking in my mind*, challenging its sanity Attacking it by skepticism's tenacity Toying with my intellectualism's vanity... Fear**, I vanquish you through God's certainty.
*"Fear is a slinking cat I find beneath the lilacs of my mind." - Sophie Tunnell **2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. January 2, 2019 2nd place, "Explaining Sophie" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Julia Ward, judged on 1/30/2019.

Fear does often lurk in the mind, and God is the only sword we need to vanquish this feeling. A beautiful poem. I had seen Sophie Tunnell's quote before, and I think you have answered it head on Beata.
